The aim was to develop a remote-control camera that could be placed on an industrial robot that consist of as many accessible and inexpensive components as possible and can be controlled by open source electronics.

The number of custom-made parts was eventually reduced to five simple, laser-cut, aluminum sheets.
The camera used is a cheap Canon EOS M that makes it possible to capture HD RAW motion picture with the help of MagicLantern hack.
